Lower canyon
Carnuel and the lower Tijeras Canyon line old Route 66 between the east edge of Albuquerque and the village of Tijeras. Lots are often narrow and pressed between the road and the canyon walls, with driveways that climb steep banks or cross arroyos.
Common projects
- Short, steep driveways from the road to the house.
- Drainage where canyon runoff crosses the drive.
- Repairs to older asphalt broken up by freeze-thaw.
- Retained edges where the downhill side needs support.
Tight sites
Narrow lots can limit equipment. We plan the work around access, and we'll tell you up front if a site needs smaller equipment or hand work.

My drive is short but very steep. What are my options?
Asphalt with a firm base, or concrete for the steepest pitch. We'll look at it with you.
Can you stop water running into my garage?
Often with regrading and a swale or trench drain.
