About Sandia Park
Sandia Park is the forested community on the east side of the Sandia Mountains, centered where NM-14 (the Turquoise Trail) meets NM-536, the road up to Sandia Crest. Homes sit on wooded lots at roughly 7,000 feet, many on hillsides with views west to the mountains. Driveways here tend to be long, curving and steep, and many are still gravel.
What Sandia Park owners call about
Gravel drives that wash out
Monsoon storms cut ruts down the middle and wash gravel into the road. Paving the steep part — and fixing the drainage — ends that cycle. See steep driveways.
Winter damage
Potholes, heaves and broken edges after freeze-thaw. Repairs and crack sealing before the next winter.
Shared roads
Private roads serving several homes. Shared road paving.
Faded asphalt
Strong sun at altitude ages asphalt quickly. Sealcoating in Sandia Park.

Paving season
Mountain paving runs roughly late spring through early fall. Calling in winter or early spring gets you the best dates.

When can you pave?
Roughly late spring through early fall, when it's warm enough for asphalt to compact.
Can you pave just the steep part of my driveway?
Yes. Many owners pave the steep section and the parking area first.
Are quotes free?
Yes — we walk the drive and give you a written price.
